Their highly experienced Workplace Relations team has the ability and expertise to provide specialised health profession services, advice and advocacy on all industrial, workplace relations and legal matters affecting salaried doctor members of Queensland. They represent salaried medical officers, Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), Senior Medical Officers (SMOs), Residents, Interns and International Medical Graduates.
Their Department assists its members with:
- Industrial disputes;
- Payroll disputes;
- Matters of bullying and harassment;
- Formal grievances;
- Medical board matters;
- Matters involving the Ethical Standards Unit, Clinical Governance Unit and Workplace Investigations Unit; and
- Matters before the Health Quality and Complaints Commission, Crime and Misconduct Commission, and the Health Practitioners Tribunal.
For this key position you will need a contemporary knowledge of workplace relations and how it applies to Queensland’s health system. You will have key knowledge at both the state and federal level workplace relations and be able to demonstrated experience in building and maintaining key relationships in government and other stakeholders and have exemplary communication and negotiation skills as well as working with members.
