Our client is a newly formed organisation responsible for the management and operations of bulk water supply and water treatment assets throughout South East Queensland. The organisation will be pivotal in identifying, investigating and delivering solutions for both treated and raw water across the region and will play a major role in flood mitigation in the region.
The primary function of the Commercial Advisor – Water is to develop, implement and manage water supply arrangements with water users for all of the organisation’s water supply schemes. Additionally you will develop water products and services to meet market requirements and business needs. As such you will have:
- Experience in water rights definition and management underpinned by your knowledge of water supply agreements and associated policy issues;
- Considerable experience in representing an organisation, providing advocacy, negotiating and preparing submissions and reports to key stakeholders including government, private sector organisations, Boards, and Councils;
- Expertise in identifying and implementing business strategies;
- Ideally a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and have demonstrable knowledge of and experience in water markets, rights, supply, contracts and management and in regulation, policy and operations in the water industry.
